The Valerie Marie is a glass-window greenhouse and neighborhood nursery rooted in family and built for community, where we offer greenhouse rentals and host community gatherings.

The greenhouse is available for rent for beautiful natural light photography. It has a dainty, chic aesthetic with lots of luscious green plants. The sun sets directly behind the greenhouse, making it perfect for golden hour photo shoots.

The plant nursery is NOW OPEN! Come see us Thursday-Saturday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. at 150 Sinclair Road, SATX 78222.

Rent The Valerie Marie

$90/hour or $375 for up to 5 hours

Photographers can rent The Valerie Marie Greenhouse for one session or mini sessions. Inside the greenhouse is a vintage cream colored couch. Upon request, we also have a full size bed that works beautifully for newborns or any other session type.

We are currently not booking outside events like weddings or workshops, but we are open to collaborations.

Our Story

Hi, I'm Melody! I am a fellow San Antonio family photographer, and I own the greenhouse and nursery. My dad, Ray, is my right hand, the green thumb and manages the space, keeping it looking beautiful!

We built this greenhouse at the end of 2020 as a studio I could use for my clients, and it has bloomed into so much more than we could've ever imagined. Now it's more than a studio; it's a space where our community can gather, grow, and get creative!

Who is Valerie Marie?
The greenhouse is named in memory of my departed sister, Valerie Marie. Infant loss — as with any loss — is so difficult, and as mothers, with God’s help, we exhibit so much courage, bravery and strength when we go through loss. My prayer is that this house — with its stunning sunlight and lively plant life — will be a space filled with faith and hope in the midst of great loss.

My prayer is that anyone who has experienced loss like this of a child or any other difficult season of life, can enter The Valerie Marie and feel valor and renewed hope that comes from God.
