The rain didn’t keep us from heading out to the Kiddie Park in San Antonio today. Although it drizzled a couple of times, the kids had a lot of fun riding the rides more than once in an almost-empty park.
Ethan and his best friend, Kaelynn, ran from ride to ride Monday at Kiddie Park, America’s oldest children’s amusement park, established in 1925, according to its website, and renovated in 2009.
The park opened at 10 a.m. at its new location next to the San Antonio Zoo, and it was $14 for an unlimited wristband. We thought this was a great option compared to the train nearby, which cost $5/person.
This way, the kids were able to ride all the rides multiples times instead of the train once. Soon, they discovered their favorite ride, the ferris wheel, which they rode four times. It was a great start to Spring Break.
The kids enjoyed some popcorn and cotton candy as well, although the prices are a bit steep for concessions. Nonetheless, it was a delicious snack.
We ended the afternoon at Chick-fil-A for lunch. What are your plans for Spring Break?
